INDUSTRY INSIGHT: HOW AI IS REVOLUTIONISING TRAVEL
AI is rapidly reshaping the landscape of countless industries, and travel is no exception. As technology continues to advance, AI is poised to revolutionise how we explore the world, enhancing efficiency and delivering a more personalised travel experience.
The travel industry is unquestionably going to be significantly disrupted by AI. Whether it’s gen AI or other forms of AI that have been around for some time remains to be seen. It’s quite clear that if you work through the customer journey and the process of trying to understand where you want to go, where you want to stay, what are the things you want to see, how you want to plan your day-by-day itinerary, gen AI significantly eases the process of travel discovery.
"If you then step into what this means for travel suppliers, which includes airlines and hotels and cruises and car rentals and rideshare providers, the promise of AI is very much to help them deliver on the promises, both explicit and implicit, that they make to their customers."

BEST OF BRIGHTON #1: THE COAL SHED
We're regularly asked where to eat out in Brighton and The Coal Shed is always top of list, never more than now as they've moved (we can't say improved because it was always pretty perfect). Check out their amazing new dining space and if you're like us, get some tables booked up for some cozy Autumn lunches.
Congrats to Raz and the whole team there! Great to see John, one of our favourite familiar faces from Burnt Orange bringing his expertise to the new location and ensuring the service remains top-tier.

THE CURATED EDIT: UNREASONABLE HOSPITALITY
Given how much we love the hospitality industry there was one book that's been passed around the loungers this summer - we've all inhaled Unreasonable Hospitality by Will Guidara.
Guidara, who ran the famous Eleven Madison Park, shares tons of behind-the-scenes stories from his time in the restaurant world. He talks about going above and beyond for customers—not just good service, but the kind of hospitality that surprises people and makes their day.

TO HAVE ON YOUR RADAR: DJ'S WITHOUT DECKS
We’ve worked with the much loved photographer Jessica Van Der Weert for nearly 2 decades now. She’s celebrating the launch of a new global exhibition, which is kicking off next year and gained the BBC’s attention this weekend.
Check out Jess’s brilliant work, we all have a favourite, which one is yours?

BEST OF BRIGHTON: THE NEW MUST-VISIT GEM
Clients are always asking where to stay in Brighton, our answer is now without hesitation: the newly opened flagship Guesthouse hotel. Perfectly positioned on the seafront, this newcomer is quickly making waves with its heavenly interiors, a restaurant that’s fast become our firm favourite, and the highly anticipated opening of an unmissable spa. After just one visit, it became the number one office topic - we’re already looking for any excuse to go back!

INDUSTRY INSIGHTS: HUS OF FRAKTA
With the mourning period for Oxford Street’s beloved Topshop nearly behind us, we’re ready to embrace the next chapter: the arrival of central city IKEA. The brand has kept much of the concept under wraps, leaving us all full of questions—Will they carry the full range? Will we witness someone wrestling a Billy Bookcase down the tube escalator? And, most importantly, will there be meatballs? While the answers remain a mystery, we did get a sneak peek at their exciting promotional pop-up, the Hus of FRAKTA—a luxe celebration of the iconic blue IKEA bag, right in the heart of London’s Oxford Street. Set to open in Spring 2025, we’re eagerly anticipating what IKEA has in store for the grand unveiling. If the Hus of FRAKTA is anything to go by, it’s sure to be something iconic.
